Full Biography

Adam Brouillette is a professional artist and designer born in the midwest in 1980. Growing up in the midwest, Adam spent the majority of his time in a handful of suburban areas watching cartoons, eating cereal, and playing video games and Legos. While spending summers in more natural settings, Adam was exposed to the beauty of nature and granted time to reflect and pull inspiration for his future artworks. After graduating from the Columbus College of Art & Design in 2002 with a BFA in printmaking, Adam relocated to the city to build an art career –– currently living and working out of Columbus, OH.

His artistic style features a series of cartoon characters that are narrative in nature and rely heavily on cultural influences to tell their story. His paintings use flat, graphic lines and colors that are simultaneously familiar and unique to his style that have been featured widely in galleries, museums, publications and exhibitions.

Adam has also expanded his abilities into the commercial art and design world, where he is the owner of littleINDUSTRIES: a small design firm focusing on graphic, web, signage, furniture, and environmental design, art consulting and strategy, as well as production and installation. littleINDUSTRIES has worked with dozens of small business clients since its founding in 2006. Adam also works as a community organizer, putting together events and physical spaces designed to support the art community in which he is involved.
